Launched in 2025 by The Bookseller in partnership with The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, the New Adult Book Prize is the UK’s first award celebrating new adult fiction - a genre focused on the transition from adolescence to adulthood. Open to books published in the UK and Ireland between March 2024 and February 2025, the prize aims to spotlight bold, relatable storytelling for readers in their late teens and twenties.

Under Your Spell is one of ten book shortlisted ahead of the £2,000 prize being awarded at the Cheltenham Literature Festival in October 2025, as part of its VOICEBOX programme championing emerging voices.
