Ben Miller's new 'festive gem' to S&S

Simon & Schuster Children’s Books have acquired DIARY OF A CHRISTMAS ELF, a festive gem from the bestselling and acclaimed children’s author, Ben Miller. Ali Dougal, Publishing Director, bought World English rights for the book from Luigi Bonomi at LBA.

S&S Children’s Books have major plans for Ben Miller, and this new deal will make 2021 Ben’s biggest publishing year to date with three books launching across the year. The paperback of top ten hardback bestseller THE DAY I FELL INTO A FAIRYTALE will publish in April 2021, followed by an untitled new novel in September 2021 and DIARY OF A CHRISTMAS ELF in November 2021, backed by year-long unmissable marketing and publicity plans.

Ben’s book sales have gone from strength to strength in 2020. THE DAY I FELL INTO A FAIRYTALE (hardback published in October) has been his fastest selling book to date, hitting Number 9 in the Nielsen children’s hardback chart. Ben’s total TCM stands at 115K, and sales of his Christmas classic, THE NIGHT I MET FATHER CHRISTMAS, have now reached over 60K TCM with the release of a special gold edition with bonus material this month.

DIARY OF A CHRISTMAS ELF, starring Tog, who longs to join Father Christmas’s toymaking workshop, will be another irresistible Christmas story from Ben, whose classic tales of wonder have enchanted readers. The book will be a highly illustrated hardback and will make the perfect Christmas gift.
