Victoria Shepherd's first book A History of Delusions: the Glass King, a Substitute Husband and a Walking Corpse is published by Oneworld, June 2022 (July in the U.S, Simon and Schuster). This non-fiction title is an exploration of an intriguing psychological phenomenon, told through the lives of ten individuals from the past who have experienced a delusion. A social history, the book looks for the real lives and struggles behind the bizarre case studies from the archives. Victoria is also an experienced documentary producer for BBC Radio 4. She has an M.A. in Creative Writing from U.E.A. She lives in south London with her husband and young son.
