Lucy grew up in Surrey, inheriting a love of gardening from her parents and grandfather at an early age. She graduated from Oxford in 2007 with a degree in History and a room full of spider plants, and now works in publishing. She can normally be found cultivating vegetables in her tiny garden in South London, and lusting after terracotta pots to add to it. In addition to gardening and writing, she enjoys ballet, playing the piano and eating cheese. She can always be relied upon to get overexcited in a garden centre.
