Tania Tay writes under the pen name Crystal Sung, in collaboration with Storymix Studio. She is author of the Spellcasters middle grade series. Tania’s writing often explores female friendship, mothers and daughters, sometimes with a supernatural twist. After winning the Modern Stories Future Bookshelf Headline Open Submissions Initiative, Tania is debuting with a domestic suspense novel, The Other Woman, publishing in May 2024 with Headline Accent. She was part of BBC Writersroom London Voices 2021. Tania studied History of Art at the University of Edinburgh. She’s an award-winning advertising copywriter ( J. Walter Thompson, Publicis). Tania is British Malaysian Chinese and lives with her family in East London.
