Catherine Chang's childhood wish was to become a lawyer - and her mother’s wish was for Catherine to write about her experiences of the upheavals in mid-20^th century China, loss of family and the invaluableness of friendship. Catherine has fulfilled her first wish, and after working as a corporate lawyer in the satellite industry for over twenty years, she is now working on her mother’s.

She splits her time between Hong Kong and Sydney, writing and being with her two children.
