Andrea Mullaney
Andrea Mullaney grew up in a town voted the second most crap in the UK and now lives in a park surrounded by books in every genre and subject. Throughout her life, stories have been her comfort and her joy.
She has been a journalist for many years, covering arts and culture for many newspapers, magazines and radio programmes, including stints as a TV critic, columnist and political commentator.
Granta once described her as being among a group of “some of the most exciting emerging talents in the world, writers who bring a thrilling and essential glimpse of the world and the worlds that are within Britain” and, frankly, she’s still not sure how that happened.
Andrea writes historical fiction which aims to make the connections between then and now, through engrossing stories with unusual twists.
