A.L. Bird’s psychological thrillers The Good Mother and Don’t Say a Word are published by HQDigital (HarperCollins). Her debut Yours is Mine (written as Amy Bird) reached the coveted No.1 spot in the Amazon Women’s Crime chart. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Birkbeck, University of London, and is also an alumna of the Faber Academy ‘Writing a Novel’ course, which she studied under Richard Skinner. Amy is a member of the Crime Writers’ Association. She also writes plays. These include The Jobseeker (runner-up for the Shaw Society T.F. Evans Award 2013) and Heart of Time (performed at The Rosemary Branch Theatre in 2012). Having moved all around the UK as a child, Amy now lives in North London with her husband and son, dividing her time between writing and working part-time as a lawyer.
